Charles Graeber
A year after I photographed the author Charles Graeber for N Magazine, he asked me to take some publicity portraits for him on Nantucket. He didn’t have much time so we moved quickly. The morning light that filtered in through a second-floor window helped to create the feeling of mystery I wanted. In 20 minutes or so, I had taken enough photos in several locations to know that there were one or two that looked good in camera. I was using a high-quality medium-format camera that captured the subtleties of light much better than my 35mm DSLR. In post production, the files had plenty of dynamic range and digital information that gave me the most control when finding a “look” for his portraits. Charles still uses these images for book signings, online, printed materials, and social media. — Robert Krivicich
Again, excellent work and my great thanks for making it painless...
