NYU Langone Medical Center is one of the nation’s premier academic medical centers. Their mission is to serve, teach, and discover. This is achieved daily through an integrated academic culture devoted to excellence in patient care, education, and research.

Below are test images that were taken while walking through several of their facilities. Test images are an excellent way to quickly understand the subjects, and in this case the science, and why certain items, details, and tests were important to capture. As well as sampling the lighting along the way, to see if available light is possible, or a portable strobe kit is necessary.

Late in the day a shot list with key visuals helped to establish a rough timeframe for the balance of the photos. The next day a few of these details were reshot as the final high-resolution macro shots to be used in their photo library, including the latest printed materials and website.
